Solo Work: I’ve worked as a solo pianist since 1981 in the Philadelphia area, playing at
restaurants, bars and private parties. My solo playing has been heavily influenced by
Keith Jarrett, Chick Corea, Bill Evans, Herbie Hancock, Ron Thomas, Ross Patterson, Joanne Brackeen, Frederic Chopin, and Michael Steinberg. I play traditional jazz standards, show tunes, rock ballads, and origional tunes. Currently I am working at the Mendenhall Inn, the Hotel DuPont, and the Concordville Inn.
Composing and recording my own music has been a real passion of mine. Simple Major
Simple Minor is the first recording of my compositions released under my own name. Kristin Garson’s Music Under the Influence was the first collection of music that I wrote
that was commercially available The yet-to-be-released Friday Sessions with Ray Ferretti and Ron Thomas.
Producing my own music and the music of Ron Thomas has been extremely rewarding. I am interested in music that will be worth listening to for years to come.
Hopefully, I can continue to produce even more varied projects in the future. Look for more music by the late great saxophonist Mike Falcone,
